Here at Silk Cycles we always try to make getting your bike fixed as little hassle as possible.
However, due to the sheer volume of bikes coming in over the last few months, we have had to reduce the number of bikes coming through the workshop. This means you can now only book in to drop off or have your bike collected on a Tuesday or Thursday between 8-9am and 17.30-18.30pm to ensure we don’t let anyone down.
After working for many bike shops over the years, each with different booking systems we know that a simple first come first serve basis is the fairest for everyone. In the early days of Silk, Jake could turn bikes around within 3-5 days. However due to the current high demand, Jake and Laurie are having to set the maximum turn around time to 20 days. This is from the day you drop your bike off or have it collected in the van. This is the worst case scenario, and we will be aiming to have them back to you sooner, but please do not be alarmed if it does take the full 20 days to get it back to you.
If this is too long to be with out your beloved 2 wheeled baby (which we fully understand might be a bit of a pain) then we have a range of 5 loan bikes that can be used whilst you wait. These are in varying styles and sizes. Unfortunately, if they’re all in use then we will have to come up with another plan for you in the meantime.
We take pride in our quality of work so we hope you understand when the waiting time is a little bit longer. We will not compromise our workmanship for a speedy job.
Thanks for taking the time to use the booking service and we look forward to getting you back on the trail/road/cyclepath/track/ramps and all other such applications as soon as possible.
